CTE Wind Ibérica is an engineering and consultancy company specialized on foundation design for wind turbines. CTE Wind Iberica is part of the civil engineering network CTE Wind International which is in the wind energy business since 2003. Together we have cumulated a strong track record of over 17.000 wind turbines (2019) with its excellence in foundation designs, geotech consulting and local interventions. CTE Wind International is part of the group CTE, a structural engineering consulting firm specialized in building and civil engineering. The CTE Group was founded in 1965 and today is one of the leaders of the sector.

CTE Wind Ibérica currently consists of 8 engineers specialized in reinforced concrete structures and geotechnics, with a long-time experience in wind industry, and located in Bilbao, Burgos and Madrid.

CTE WIND Worldwide

CTE Wind International has offices in France, Brazil, Vietnam, Poland, Portugal, USA, Ireland and in Spain.
In Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Ireland and Turkey, CTE Wind have sales representatives or registered local engineers for signature. In other countries, we work closely with local partners.

Getting the confidence and fidelity of many companies worldwide is not an easy task, and it responds in principal to a reliable performed and efficient work. Despite the numerous projects, no (major insurance) claims have ever been made. This is the proof of quality for our engineering teamwork to design efficient and sustainable foundations. However, CTE Wind is covered by a special liability insurance for the foundation design. Moreover, CTE Wind’s calculation and design methodology has been certified by DNV-GL.

Although being mostly hidden under the ground, WTG foundations are carrying the majority of the wind farm investments. Then, a reliable, feasible and cost-efficient design is a must. CTE Wind’s know-how goes beyond the structural calculation. Customer feedbacks are taken into account to incorporate in new construction solutions to deliver easy to deploy worldwide good practises. CTE Wind has always an open door for special requests in order to find THE best solution to fit the customer needs.

Every wind farm needs special solutions, depending on the location, the turbine, the client’s needs and requirements. CTE Wind can provide a wide variety of special solutions to match those needs and project expectations. Regardless of whether the solution consists of a classical gravity or a deep foundations: all designs are always adapted and optimized to the soil conditions. Working in an international environment, CTE Wind is composed of a professional team, based and experienced in different countries and situations to give the right response and fulfil the client’s expectations. CTE Wind’s team, formed by senior engineers of 10 different nationalities and speaking 16 different languages, cumulates over 100 years of experience in the wind industry. The engineers are used to apply a vast number of national and international standards and guidelines.

CTE Wind guarantees their deadlines for short delivery delays for pre-design studies and for detailed designs for wind turbine foundations.

Over the years CTE Wind has gained the trust of big players in the wind energy market: Turbine manufacturers (OEMs), EPC contractors, project developers and construction companies.
