CTE WIND

Active in wind energy since 2002 as part of CTE group and became CTE WIND in 2012, we are a French consulting firm specialized in the design of foundations for onshore wind turbines. Backed by over 13 years of experience in this sector, the company now has 80% of the French market.

Based in Britanny, we have worked in forty countries worldwide. Being the HQ of all activities of the group in the wind energy, CTE WIND manages all onshore wind activity development.

Thanks to software developed "in-house" and a centralized expertise, our studies are of the same quality in all of our offices. For the comfort of all our clients we support projects carried out by our offices with an internal review.

Thus, CTE WIND has a direct link with the turbine manufacturers, especially with engineering departments in charge of the towers and foundations.

Finally, we are able to work anywhere in the world thanks to the French and foreign partners that complement our offer when a local presence is needed in some countries.

We participated at the international WindEnergy Hamburg Show, which was held this year in parallel with the WIND EUROPE annual conference.

Also, we were present as conference speakers at the Wind Energy Conference in Essen (Germany): 8 – 9 December 2016. The subjects are: Subsoil Analysis, Ground Improvement and Wind Turbine Foundations. At the event, we spoke about international foundation design expertise. We thank all the participants for their support.

Additionally, CTE WIND will be present at the IWEA Annual Conference 2017 – 28th & 29th March in Dublin (Ireland) which confirms our involvement in local projects.

Projects

  • The company completed the design of the foundations of Tarfaya wind farm with Siemens turbines. This park is considered the largest in Morocco.

  • CTE WIND is currently designing 60 foundations of two wind farms in Thailand. One of the solutions used is the “rock adapter” which allows the anchoring of the foundation to the rock layer under some turbine positions.
  • A first project to verify the design of a turbine foundation was carried out in Japan. The aim was to compare local know-how with European and international standards.
